| Ever wanted to know how to give a decent comment, click the link: How to give a comment _,~`*`~,_,~`*`~,_,~`*`~,_,~`*`~,_ I have travelled to many places (add copious amounts of name places here to bore the audience … but let’s put it down to most of my lessons were learned in Africa) And I learned a big lesson: NUDITY IS COMMON in cultural settings and Western civilisations don’t generally realize this, like a certain person I have had the displeasure of meeting. In a few of these places, including the most remote villages, full nudity is tolerated in everyday social behaviour. This type of "naturism" is not unique. Western civilization has made nudity a social taboo and is said to be wrong to show genitalia and the first thing when stepping out is to hide them ... thank goodness for uniqueness in culture in other countries. Having said that, the debate on the topic Art and Porn is quite fascinating! It happens to be intriguing. Nude art and the studies related to it show the cultural variations, the debates reveal attitudes to the taboo of the display of naked genitalia for sure. Let us then look at the ‘non studies’ of those that find it acceptable, it is part of everyday life and therefore it does not come under scrutiny (like walking out of your house in a pair of pants and a t-shirt will not come under scrutiny). Female desire has become a frequently discussed topic on radio and television and has become the buzz of most ‘happening cities’ (take Dr Ruth for example, she has done many books including “Sex for Dummies”, many radio shows and many T.V. shows; I am quite sure Oprah even did a show or two on female desire; maybe even take “Sex in the City” ) It’s not really that hard … I would say that if you take the previous point into consideration and see that your naked photos get aggressive comments is that you are indeed making a mockery of female desire and have watched too many porn movies for reference to female desire; which is wrong, porn movies are mostly how men want women to behave, not how women really behave. Take those comments as a clue. But I guess there are intelligent people out there who will discuss Art vs Porn with me like adults and see work how they wish in their own cultural and intellectual standings. Art vs Porn (Sorry guys, I have not forgotten about you, just making a point with the above) _,~`*`~,_,~`*`~,_,~`*`~,_,~`*`~,_ I created this account because I want to showcase what I like about nudity and what I do not like. I do not care if you do not like what I like and I do not care for your childish rants if you do not. I have my own mind and my own tastes as do you. For those who like what I like I can only say that you have great taste  .I will be creating a few articles in an attempt to demystify some ideas on Artistic Nudes and Pornography FAQ #687: What is news and what is not news? If anyone is willing, could you please help me find articles and other information on art versus porn on Deviant Art, it will really be helpful to my cause. |
